👑 Tenali Rama: The Witty Jester and a Clever Escape! 🎭

Have you ever heard of Tenali Rama? He was a super smart and funny person who lived a long time ago. He was a special jester (someone who makes people laugh) in the court of a king named Krishnadevaraya. Tenali Rama was known for his cleverness and how he always found a way to solve problems, often with a funny twist!

Today, we're going to read about one of his amazing adventures where his quick thinking saved the day!

🏠 A Mysterious Guest Arrives! 🤫

One sunny day, a stranger came to Tenali Rama's house. He looked tired and asked Tenali Rama if he could stay for two days. Tenali Rama, being a kind person, said yes right away! But what Tenali Rama didn't know was that this stranger was sent by a king from another land. This bad stranger had a secret plan to hurt King Krishnadevaraya! 😱

✉️ A Tricky Letter and a Close Call! 🗡️

Soon, Tenali Rama had to go to his village for some work. This was the chance the stranger was waiting for! He quickly wrote a letter to King Krishnadevaraya, saying that Tenali Rama's wife was very sick and needed help.

King Krishnadevaraya really liked Tenali Rama, so he decided to go to Tenali Rama's house himself to see his wife. He even thought about taking her to the royal doctor! But guess what? The stranger was hiding behind the door with a sharp knife! He wanted to attack the king! 😲

Luckily, the king saw his own reflection in a mirror on the wall. He was super quick and moved out of the way just in time! He hit the stranger's hand, and the knife fell down. The guards heard the noise and rushed in to catch the bad stranger. Phew! That was a close one! 🙏

😡 The King's Anger and Tenali Rama's Witty Reply! 😂

When Tenali Rama came back, he found out what happened. The king was super angry with Tenali Rama! He shouted, "How could you let a stranger stay in your house without knowing who he was? An intelligent person like you made such a big mistake!"

The king was so mad that he told Tenali Rama he would be punished with death. But because Tenali Rama had served him for a long time, the king said Tenali Rama could choose how he wanted to die.

Tenali Rama didn't say anything for a while. The king kept asking, "Tell me! How do you want to die?"

Then, Tenali Rama calmly said, "Of old age!" 👴

The king burst out laughing! He loved Tenali Rama's quick and funny answer. His anger went away, and he realized he was about to make a big mistake. He quickly said sorry to Tenali Rama.

Tenali Rama, with a smile, said, "We all make mistakes sometimes, your majesty. We are all human!" And he promised not to make such a mistake again.

What a clever way to get out of trouble, right? Tenali Rama always knew how to make things right with his amazing wit!
