| English (TL)
✍️ Poet: Rudyard Kipling
🔹 1. Introduction of the Poem
🔤 English
(Simple):
This poem is about six useful question words – What, Why, When, How, Where, and
Who. These are the poet’s “honest friends” who help him learn everything. It
also tells us how curious people (especially children) ask many questions to
understand the world better.
Why, When, How, Where, आणि Who.
🔹 2. About the Poet – Rudyard Kipling
Rudyard
Kipling (1865–1936) was a famous English writer and poet. He wrote
many short stories and poems for children and adults. He is best known for The
Jungle Book 🐯 and
this lovely poem that teaches us the power of curiosity.
🔹 3. Poem Text – “Six Honest Friends” (Poet: Rudyard Kipling)
I keep
six honest serving-men
(They
taught me all I knew);
Their
names are What and Why and When
And How
and Where and Who.
I send
them over land and sea,
I send
them east and west;
But
after they have worked for me,
I give
them all a rest.
I let
them rest from nine till five,
For I am
busy then,
As well
as breakfast, lunch and tea,
For they
are hungry men.
But
different folk have different views;
I know a
person small—
She
keeps ten million serving-men,
Who get
no rest at all!
She
sends 'em abroad on her own affairs,
From the
second she opens her eyes—
One
million Hows, two million Wheres,
And
seven million Whys!
मित्र आहेत – What (काय), Why (का), When (केव्हा), How (कसा), Where (कोठे), आणि Who (कोण).
